Hello...
I just want to ask what are necessary reagents for
reduction of lactone to lactol product? Here,I'm attached the scheme
reaction what I want to do..
Is it DIBALH or NaBH4 or LAH???? Any good suggestion from you all??
Could I reduce with 20% solution DIBALH in hexane??Its because Malaysia could not get the pure DIBALH..(discontinued product) I knew..Mostly
researchers used DIBALH to get the lactol product.(from journals)
I
have tried with NaBH4 but I dont think I get the lactol..bUt LAH I
think the product will be diol..coz mostly journal said like that..
Hope anyone can reply me SOON!!..
Thank you SO MUCH.
