Hi all,
After successfully reacting anthranilamide with phthalic anhydride under microwave irrradiation, I brominated anthranilamide (2-aminobenzamide) to get the 2,4-dibromo derivative and then tried reacting the product with phthalic anhydride. After several attempts both under conventional heating and microwave irradiation, there is no reaction. Has anyone tried this reaction before or do you have a way you can suggest that i go about it.
