Dear colleagues,
I am trying to separate a mixture of compounds differing from each other for
having a 6-aminonaphthalen-1-ol and a 8-aminonaphhtalene-1ol moiety,
respectively. Unfortunately, they are not separable by liquid
chromatography. Thus, I am going to try to exploit the capabilty of the
8-aminonaphhtalene-1ol portion of forming complexes with metal ions or in
solution or passing through a column packed with a cation exchanger
saturated with metal ions.
Did you ever experienced a similar problem and can provide an experimental
protocol?
I will appreciate any suggestion.
Thank you in advance
Gianluca Sbardella
