Dear friends
For temperature levels we are discussing it may be advisable to use=
secondary cooling system ( For lab scale - low temperature bath ) .
LIN may be primary utility with secondary utility being a solvent /=
synthetic fluid thus avoiding need of mixing the two.
For very low temperature applications one may go for super critical fluids.
Regards
Deepak

I am just curious to know how can one generate (and esp. maintain) a=
temperature, say below -78, by mixing liquid N2 and a organic solvent.=
Obviously it's not possible to saturate the solvent with N2... it'll just=
freeze instead.

Go to http://ecompound.com/Reaction%20reference/reaction_index.htm, check=
reference in Org. Chem. There is a table that tells you the common=
condition to generate a low temp. bath. -160oC might be the lowest you can=
have.
Good luck!
