Dear Friends,
I incorporated ZnO nanoaprticles in the microgel:
poly(N-vinylcaprolactum-co-acetoacetoxyethylmethacrylate-co-N-[3-dimethylamino)propyl]-methacrylamide.
The LCST point of pure microgel was reported as 32°C. After the
inclusion of ZnO nanoaprticles, the composite microgel shows a minimum
particle size at 32°C as expected but after that it again increases till
40°C, unlike to pure microgel, followed by the decrease. The ZnO
nanoparticles are found to have the acetate groups on the surface. Can
anybody help me out to explain this fact.
