ORGLIST: swern oxidation of halogenated substrate

hi all,

i heard that in some cases swern oxidation is not compatible with
halogenated substrates and therefor dmso should be activated with acetic
anhydride instead of oxalyl chloride. can anybody provide me more detailed
information?
