ORGLIST: synthesis of lignin trimer or oligomers

Hi friends,
  I am looking out for syntheses (organic or enzymatic) of lignin trimers or oligomers.
  The methods that I have found out are either too tedious or gives a bad mixture which is very difficult to isolate.
  Can anyone suggest me any reference where someone has been able to synthesize lignin trimer or higer oligomer in simple steps and has been able to isolate in decent yields?
