LDA is formed in situ at low temperature in reacting BuLi and diisopropylamine in THF. You have to take care when you handle Buli as a very strong base (wear good gloves). You have to use a cooling bath also, do not use EtOH or acetone bath (it may violently react with BuLi), only dichloromethane/dry ice bath.

Just a question : what does your end message mean? I don't think it is the right place to evoke beliefs or religions. You should keep this kind of message for you.

Thank you.

        Dear Sir/Madam,
I want to know what precautions/safety measures should be taken while using LDA (lithiumdiisopropylamide) and trimethylsilylchloride (chlorotrimethylsilane).

        Thanks,
        Sunil
