Dear All,
If a liquid sample consisting of a mixture of different soluble organic chemicals is analysed by HPLC how will one come to identify the individual consituents ?
Can the probable constituents be subject to individual analyses (in known dosages) so as to confirm the identity and quantity ?
Will this have to be done on the same HPLC instrument, using the same column, reagents, methods, etc ?
Is there a data base library where one can compare the different peaks in the chromatogram so as to identify the probable substances ?
Will this differ from the column & methods used; is there a conversion factor ?
Your assistance is much appreciated.
