Dear all...
I have a problem in my research that is I do not have separation method in hidrolizing ethyl aceto acetic into acetone with H2SO4 as the catalist. As an explanation I have starting material ester ethyl aceto acetic and use ethanol as solvent and also concentrated acid H2SO4 as catalist ( ethyl aceto acetic : H2SO4 = 1: 3,5 ) What exactly I want to know is how to separation the yield of acetone from solven ethanol and from catalist (H2SO4) ? Do ethanol and acetone have azeotrope nature? Is so, how to separate acetone from solven ethanol as those are difficult to be separated? I have no idea about this, but I really need some advise or anything regarding to this problem or perhaps is there any method to yield acetone from ester ethyl aceto acetic?
any help and advise would be very apreciated

sincerely
Roserina
