Hello Everybody

i'm preforming a nitration reaction using stannic chloride (Sn(IV)Cl4) =
and fuming nitric acid (99% nitric acid).
obviously i have to use the driest conditions available but niether =
materials comes with a septum (the nitric acid has to have the pressure =
buildup released every month) and so it is difficult to work with them.
the synthesis requires the addition of a mixture of the two in =
dichloromethane to a solution of my material in dichloromethane.
has anybody any expirience with either material? i'm especially =
concerned with the stannic chloride which fumes instantly upon opening
thanks in advance
