ORGLIST: Salicylic acid and ferric nitrate

Hello everybody,

 

I have a small problem. When I add salicylic acid to ferric nitrate, I get red color precipitate. Is it because of complex between Iron (III) and electrons from oxygen (of salicylic acid)?
