Hello everybody,
I have to do a reaction between an intermediate and ethylene diamine in methanol.
My intermediate is an oil witch contain 1,2-dichloroethane (about 5%) and 1-bromo-1,2-dichloroethane (about 10%).
I want to know if it's a risk of formation of carbenes.
As anybody know in litterature some examples of reaction between 1,2-dichloroethane and ethylene diamine to give carbenes.
I need this answer for the security.
Thanks a lot.
Stephanie
