Hi,

Try one of the following:
a) 10 ml HMDS + [catalytic amount of (NH4)2SO4 or TMS-Cl] - per 1 mmol of
your compound reflux until all substrate is in solution + additional 30 min.
b) As sugested by someone else you can use BSA but more effective is BSTFA
(N,O-bis-trimethylsilil-trifluoroacetamide) suplied by Fluka with 1% TMS-Cl
ready for use

for reference: look Townsend, Tipson - Procedures in Nucleic Acid
Chemistry, or Vorbruggen - Nucleoside synthesis

Regards,
Krzysztof
