This kind of silylation is generally used in the Vorbroggen conditions of preparation of neucleotides. (bases tethered to sugar moiety)_
A typical way for doing this is to treat your base BSA (bis-O,O-trimethyl Silyl Acetamide) a commercially available reagent and TMS-OTf in THF at reflux temperature for 3-4 hours.
