The formal von Pechmann reaction is the formation of the coumarins from
phenols and malic acid. The von Pechmann - Duisberg variation is the
formation of coumarins from phenols and beta-keto esters. The third one is
the 1,3 dipolar cycloaddition to form pyrazoles. For more information see my

Hi Hasan,

 

I know three reactions named Pechmann reaction. One of them is preparation
of diazoalkanes, the second one is cycloaddition of diazocompounds to
acetylenes and the third one is condensation of phenols with
beta-ketoesters. Which of them do you need to perform?
