I am doing a solid phase reaction with aromatic
aldehyde in NMP solution as the starting material.
However, after the reaction, the left over aldehyde in
the resin is very difficult to be washed off. Huge
peak of the aldehyde is shown on the LC-MS trace.
Miscellaneous solvents such as DMF, DCM, MeOH, THF,
Acetonitrile have been tried.
Does anybody know some better way to do this workup?
Any specific solvent to extract aldehydes?
