Dear All,

In the macrolactonisation step of Verrucarin B, Roush et al, JOC 1983, 48,
758 and JOC 1984, 49, 1772. Pivaaloyl chloride and 4-pyrrolidino pyridine
are used for the macrolactonisation step. What is the mechanism here?
