ORGLIST:Lyophilisation to remove Ammonium

I am trying to remove water and ammonium from a
saline-like biological sample.

Is lyophilisation likely to be an appropriate way of doing
this? Loss of other volatiles is not a problem, though I
would like to retain glucose.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.
