I understand the focus here should be chemistry, but a few well wishes for
the New Year, in my opinion, are not going to bother most people. In
addition, this seems to be a mature and measured group. I don't think the
seasonal e-mails will "overflow." If one has an unwanted e-mail, simply
don't read it and erase it. That's a better solution.
