Guanidinium kation generally forms crystalls with nitrate anion, carbonates are also insoluble in water.. Try to add nitric acid.

Subject: ORGLIST:Help: crystals required!

Dear All,
I desperately need advice on how to get crystals of my macrocycle.
It is a diguanidinium macrocycle and the counterion at the moment is PF6-
but I can try and exchange it. What would be the best counterion to get
crystals (suitable for crystal structure)?
The macrocycle is soluble in MeOH and CH3CN. I have tried several solvents
but, with PF6- as a counterion it doesn't seem to crystallise.
