In addition to the facts I told you yesterday,
the wet THF can be treated with KOH for preliminary drying if and only if, the THF is peroxide free..
It is very very dangerous to shake peroxide rich THF with KOH flakes. Serious explosions have been recorded, and one MUST not risk this!
