Hello, everybody! Again, I humbly ask if anybody out there might help me with a
problem.....
I want to catalyze a reaction in a biphasic medium (ala Nyori) with a soluble
anion catalyst in water and a surfactant as the organic "solvent" for an organic
sulfide substrate. I've researching this question and I can't find a conclusive
answer to it.
If I want to analyze the products of this reaction, and I add aliquots of the
reaction mixture to an organic solvent like DCM, will I take up any
ammonium surfactant OR my catalyst (huge anion that's not good for GC-MS machine
I'm told) when I extract the organic layer of DCM for analyzation?
Any good references I might want to read to solve this? Thanks in advance. Mark
