To all organic listers
I'm interesting in knowing how wide-spread the use
of digital cameras/scanners and digital processing
software is for analysis of tlc's in organic
chemistry labs.
I am aware of commercial units that appear to
specialize in quantification, but am more interested
in the use of packages like Photoshop for processing
images captured without a commercial unit, for
qualitative analysis.
Do any of you do this? Do you ever use image
processing to help identify UV-active spots, or
resolve spots?
Please respond directly to me, and I will summarize
for the list.
