Dear Henry,
I find that abbreviations of most common reagents as well as their formulae
can be found in the Aldrich Chemical Catalogue. If you have access to a copy
of: Encyclopaedia of reagents for Organic Synthesis Edited by Leo Paquette.
[ISBN 0 471 93623 5], each volume contains useful and common general
abbreviations pertaining to organic chemistry in the inside front cover.
