Dear all
i tried reducing one longchain(c18) secondary amide with NaBH4/I2.
the reaction went through properly and i got the amine-borane complex, but
when i tried to cleave this with peroxide it went in some other way and i
could not get the final secondary amine( in the IR spectra the
corresponding peak for the amine-borane complex is disappeared) . can you
suggest me a definite way to cleave this kind of amine- borane complexes(
longchain).

thank you in advance

M. SHARATH CHANDRA
