Hi all,
Accept my apologies in advance if I'm in the wrong forum. I'm not a chemist in any sense of the word and was just hoping to ask a question. Here it is... I've recently purchased an aquarium and was amazed at the price of water testing kits and supplies. I was wondering if there was an inexpensive technique to test for the following: nitrate level, nitrite level, and amonia level. Typical kits either have dipsticks or the old pool chlorine test type where you drip a solution into a water sample and examine color change and read parts per million. These kits run about $40. I just know there's a better way.
Thank you all very kindly,
Ivan Pla
PS. an email would be great so I don't pollute your board! ipla$##$centurytel.net
