Dear members,I am a new entry.And please to be with you people.My request as bellow.
I had been making Phenylacetyl chloride.Many times the distiiled final product is slight pink coloured.Even as per Org Synth.Col Vol the Author says that some times the supply is pink coloured.
I am puzzlled what trace impurity can cause this colour.Is it the ethanone compound(ketone) or aldehyde may be produced .And that gives a colour.Can any body has idea for this.
