hello all

can any body help me with these little problems?
1) what is the principle of natural product extraction using a soxhlet
apparatus?
2) what is the reaction of the saponifiable lipid, trimyrstin CH2OCOC13H27
                                                               |
                                                               CHOCOC13H27
                                                               |
                                                               CH2OCOC13H27
with potassium hydroxide, KOH?
