Dear collegues,
Reffering to the above named reaction
that traditionally gives cyclopropanes with an alkene
where the active reagent is ICH2I (simmons reagent),
Can the reagent be varied to,say, ICH2CH2I so as to
give a cyclobutane; ICH2CH2CH2I to give cyclopentane?
