Dear All Members:
Maybe everyone knows that HMPA (hexamethylphosphoramide) is a good solvent during the alkylation of carbonyl compounds, especially used when the carbon anion was formed using LDA in THF. But due to its high toxicity, I am just wondering: is there anybody running the similar reaction with other kind of solvents?
Thanks in advance.
