Dear ORGLISTers,
      When a specific synthetic route to a product is protected by a patent is it forbidden to use that method even for research purposes ?
      Does the same apply to algorithms (in computational chemistry, for instance) ?
      Can anyone suggest a web site where such basic questions about patents can be answered ?
