Hi everyone, Does anyone know a way to synthesize monosilylated secondary silylamines, like chlorodimethylsilyl-(N,N-diisopropyl)amine Cl(Me)2SiN(iPr)2 and of course related compounds? I have tried to do this by reacting Cl2Me2Si with 2 eq HN(iPr)2, but I keep ending up with the disilylated product and lots (half?) of the unreacted starting materials. The only article I found about these compounds (J. Organomet. Chem 18, 371 (1969)) had no experimental, but refered to an unpublished article (which was probably never published at all).
