Hi,

I'm trying to introduce scissile (by periodate cleavage of 1,2 glycol
bond) sites into PVA. I was thinking the following two monomers, if
they exist (both look stable to me, but maybe their synthetic
precursors are not) would do the trick.

Any idea whether they exist?

If yes, aware of any commercial sources for them?

Barring that, simply knowing their proper IUPAC names would be
nice. (I can access STNEasy).
