Has anyone ever seen 2-mercaptobenzaldehyde (or shall I call it
2-sulfanylbenzaldehyde)? Thiosalicylic acid is commercially available
and maybe the simplest way is to reduce it to the aldehyde. Any
suggestions of adequate reagents?
Thanks and best regards
Jorge
