its just an idea, but what would I get, if I react a secondary amin
with MOM-Cl or another chloromethyl-ether ?
I have a certain idea, but I want to hear a second opinion...


Well given that you haven't stated an opinion I don't know if I'm reiterating yours or in fact giving a second one.

The reaction will work fine with an indole, giving the expected MOM-NRR' as the sole product.
I haven't tried it with other secondary amines though.

Just do it.
