Hello!

In the past we have prepared some cross-linked PVP resins (U.S. Pat.
3,700,610, 1974, and other corresponding patents). From that experience the
following might be suggested, which hopefully is helpful:

Try a suspension polymerization in brine, using half or less than the usual
initiating reagent; heat up the suspension fast to start the polymerization
and let it run for less time than is usual for a good PVP polymerization.
When you stop the reaction, wash away the unpolymerized residues. However,
before going into very laborious undertakings, carefully revise once more
the literature.
