Hi all,
is it possible to synthesise chiral 3,4-dihydroxy-pyrrolidine from
tartaric acid... keeping the inbuilt chirality present in tartaric
acid...?
my plan was to protect the two -OH groups in tartaric acid first, then
formation of imide and subsequent reduction ( is it possible to reduce
with LAH? ) and deprotection should end up with 3,4 dihydroxy pyrrolidine.
can any body give me any suggesion about that?
thanks in advance
