Somebody else suggested triphenyl phosphine, giving triphenyl
phosphine oxide asa byproduct. Another possibility is triethyl
phosphite, whose oxidation product, triethyl phosphate has solubility
characteristics quite different from those of triphenylphosphine
oxide
