I have a simple question, and I'm wondering if someone can answer it or
refer me to a source.
Does acetonitrile have labile hydrogens which can exchange with
hydroxides?
For instance- can ACN + CH3-OD make CH3-OH? I am observing something
like this, but am unclear if it is due to water in the ACN or from ACN
itself. The extent is greater than I would expect if it were from the
trace amount of water which contaminates the ACN
