"British Approved Names" lists Names for ions and groups as an appendix.
This list excludes the obvious metal, halide, sulfate ions, etc. I guess
going through the list would be the only way to locate the full range of
counterions used. Probably there are similar lists in the US Approved Name
list and WHO INN list.
