If you want to do it for the fun of it, then, why not? But you'll end up
investing all your racing winnings and possibly some mortgages on top of
it. The money goes into build in your backyard pilot plant with the
necessary occupational and environmental protection devices to assure that
the only risks of hurting yourselves and others in the nearby environment
exist when you are behind the driving wheel.

If you want to do it for the savings involved in "do it yourself", you'll
end up investing your racing winnings, and possibly some mortgages on top
of it, in buying a real plant. This is needed to take advantage of the
economy of size and to acquire the knowhow involved in running an
industrial chemical setup.
